No other copies known, but cf. Three Turki manuscripts from Kashghar by E. Devisan Ross. Lahore s.a. (Archaeological Survey of India). Cf. Prov. 116, 117, 163, 197, 478. Cf. Kim, Ho-dong, Holy War in China (Stanford, California 2004).
Notes
No date indicated, but probably very late end of the 19th century. There are three items in the Jarring Collection which deal with the period of Yakub Beg Ataliq Ghazi: Prov 115, 116, 117. Most probably they have the same author and the same date of compilation. In Prov. 117, f. 128b the author is said to be Talib Akhon, the son of the Mingbegi Molla Nimet of Khotan. The date given is Djumadi-ul-akhir 1, 1317 = October 7th 1899.
Ownership:
The ms. once belonged to Rev. Lars Erik Högberg of the Swedish Mission of Kashghar. Most probably he ordered the copy to be made.
Acquisition:
Acquired from Lars Erik Högberg's widow, Mrs Sigrid Högberg by the Lund University Library in 1936.
