The firm of Appelroot & Spalding has received the sum of 1,300 dalers in copper by Linnaeus’s letter of November 7 [this letter has not come down to us]. They have recorded it in credit of the firm of Spalding & Brander in London and a letter will be sent there the following day ordering the payment of this sum to Daniel Solander.
It would be best to send the sum immediately but, as it is impossible to obtain a bill for such a small amount of money, it will be postponed until they receive some more payment to be credited to the same partner.
