Linnaeus extends his condolences to the the Secretary of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences [Kungliga Svenska Vetenskapsakademien, i.e., Pehr WilhelmWargentin] for the loss the nation has sustained now that Olof Petrus Hiorter has departed this life.
Linnaeus is returning Pehr Kalm’s catalogue; it contains many rarities [see Linnaeus to the Academy of Sciences, 5 May 1750{L1123}].
He emphasizes the importance of sending Kalm money for his survival.
If possible, Linnaeus will try to determine the species of the bird sent to him by the Academy.
P. S. He notes that Anna Ekerman is being buried this day.
P.S. 2 He sends his regards to Samuel Klingenstierna
