Abstract
1) Extracts from different suras of the Koran, all in Arabic, cf. Prov. 389; 2) A text in Turki about Muhammed's Ascension; 4) Different prayers in Arabic; 5) A Turki commentary to a Persian original. The original version in Arabic and interlinear Persian in red, cf. Zetterstéen I: 218:2; 229:12; 238:8; II:656, all in Persian, ascribed to Abdullah bin el-Abbas, evidently the same author as in this copy; 6) In Arabic, cf. Zetterstéen I: 375; 7) A prayer in Arabic with introductory Turki commentary; 8) Laudatory prayers to be read in time of depression, prayers in Arabic with Turki explanation; 9) Prayers in Arabic at the funeral; 10) Prayers in Arabic with introductory Turki commentary; 11) Prayers in Arabic, text in Turki, cf. Ownership:
Acquired in Kashghar in the 1930's by Rev. Gustaf Ahlbert probably from the book-peddler Roze Akhon (cf. Jarring, Åter till Kasghar) whose name is written on f. 3a together with 6t, probably the price paid by Ahlbert = 6 tanga. Presented by Ahlbert to Gunnar Jarring.
Acquisition:
The ms. was part of the Jarring collection of Eastern Turkistan manuscripts donated to the Lund University Library in 1982.
