Georgij Akinfievich Demidov has received three specimens of the Spiraea sorbi folio, which Demidov’s gardener had sent him from Demidov’s house. The plants have travelled for six weeks but are in good condition. Linnaeus should not doubt that they can survive for two months more. He hopes that Linnaeus will be pleased with the plants. Demidov also takes the opportunity to send seeds of plants that originate from the late Steller. They have matured in Demidov’s garden; there are ten species. Demidov would like to receive seeds of the plants of Hortus Upsaliensis that he lacks. They can be sent by mail through William Masters.
