History

The College, or board of Antiques, which was first established in Uppsala, was moved to Stockholm in 1690 and was converted and reduced in 1692 to an antiquity archive under the Swedish Government Offices (Kungliga Kanslikollegium) next to the Royal Library and the National Archives.
