Abstract
A Persian manuscript. A versified treatise of the religious duties according to Imam Abu Hanifa Kufi. The title is to be found on f. 178b where also the copyist is said to be one Mohammad Yusuf ibn Mohammad Bedi' ibn Molla Muhammad Jan Varukhi. The author is not mentioned but is no doubt Sufi Allakyar Khan (cf. Zetterstéen, No 373). On f. 1a specimens of poetry in Persian. On f. 3a a sketch in pencil of a basmallah. On f. 179b-180a rules in Eastern Turki and Arabic for the performance of namaz. Other copies: Zetterstéen No 373 and 374 (both incomplete); Prov. 82, 419
Notes
No date indicated, but f. 2a carries the following note in Eastern Turki: On the twelfth of the month Safar Qonushi of the year 1294 (1877-1878) was born Ahmad Akhond. The manuscript thus must be dated before 1877, probably early 19th century.
Ownership:
Acquired by Rev. Sigfrid Moen in Kashghar in the 1930's. Presented to Gunnar Jarring March 31, 1973

The ms. was part of the Jarring collection of Eastern Turkistan manuscripts donated to the Lund University Library in 1982.
