Abstract
The Eastern Turki translation of a Persian original by Abu Tahir Husein b. 'Ali b. Musa Tarsusi (cf. Muginov 173). It is a collection of fabulous stories connected with the history of Iran, especially Alexander the Great (cf. Prov. 191, 263, 324). On f. 21a the title of the book in its longer form. The book consists ot two later additions or completions, supplementing lost pages at beginning and end. The old and original part of the book is contained on ff. 80-384, but ff. 360-384 no doubt belong to some other manuscript, ductus and paper are different, although they deal with the same stories about Alexander as in the previous pages. Beginning with f. 360 Alexander is mentioned in a different way, and there are no more references to the Tarsusi-formula which appears last time on f. 354a. Other copies: Muginov 173, Blochet AF 103
