Abstract
Old number 52. An Eastern Turki manuscript. This evidently is another version of the ms. contained in Prov. 276 with 'Abd ul-'Ali bin Muhammad al-Husain al-Birdjendi as its author (cf. Prov. 276). The title is indicated on f. 1b by another hand than that of the copyist as ... , but in the text the correct form occurs repeatedly as ..., e.g. f. 153b. The ms. is divided into 44 books and subdivided into sections. A register of the different books is to be found on f. 2a-3b (incomplete in the beginning, and ending with book 42 which in the text carries the number 44. One leaf missing between f. 1 and 2, 6 and 7, 103 and 104. On f. 179a-b some specimens of poetry dedicated to Sultan Satuq Bughra Khan; Cf. Prov. 276, 311

Date 1205/1790-1791. Copyist indicated on f. 178b as Molla Roze Muhammad ibn molla Tokhta ibn ... (illegible) from Tazghun in the Kashghar district.
Ownership:
Bought by Gunnar Jarring in Kashghar in March 1930.
Acquisition:
The ms. was part of the Jarring collection of Eastern Turkistan manuscripts donated to the Lund University Library in 1982.
