Linnaeus thanks Pehr Osbeck for the information about the monkey. He finds it complete.
The bush is Daphne sive Laureola sempervirens. It is a medical plant and listed in Hortus Upsaliensis and in Materia Medica.
Daniel Rolander has returned to Amsterdam from Surinam.
Linnaeus asks Osbeck to go and see Jean Henry Le Febure and ask for permission to make a description of his monkey. All kinds of new animals should be described immediately, as they may be impossible to find again later.
P. S. Linnaeus remarks that he cannot send Abraham Bäck an answer before he has been able to write to Mrs Benzelius.
