Carl Gustaf Tessin writes to Linnaeus and excuses himself for not having answered Linnaeus’s last two letters [these letters have not come down to us] due to a rumour that Linnaeus was on his way to visit him.
Tessin writes that he has firmly asked Lars Salvius to finish his work on the Monday after Easter at the latest. Salvius is aware of the value to himself of Linnaeus’s work.
Tessin thanks Linnaeus for the meat from Falun that he has received and for the seeds sent to his wife [Sara Elisabet Moraea].
The letter ends with a sigh concerning Carl Hårleman.
