Statement of responsibility:
Skriven i klostret i Echternach för heliga Simon och Judas kyrka i Goslar, på uppdrag av kejsar Henrik III.
Written in Germany in 1051-56, in the monastery of Echternach for the church of SS Simon and Jude in Goslar, on comission of emperor Henry III.
Provenance:
Förvarades i Goslar fram till trettioåriga kriget. Ägdes sedan 1700-talet av Gustaf Celsing. Ägarförhållanden i mellantiden är okända. Donerades till UUB av Celsings söner 1806.
Known to have been preserved in Goslar up to 30 years war. Swedish owner since 18th Century, Gustaf Celsing. Intermediary history unkown. Donated to UUL by Celsings sons 1806.

The volume is currently on loan at Carolina Redivivas Exhibition hall. During the exhibition it is not available for study in the Special reading room.

Original wooden covers of oak but without wrapping, original decoration lost. Recieved new coverage during 17th C. Unevenly bound guilt edges of folios.
