Linnaeus writes to Lars Salvius to confirm that it is Mathurin Jacques Brisson he is looking for. He says that he has the first four editions and he must have the remaining books [Linnaeus refers presumably to Brisson’s Ornithologia]. Linnaeus writes that he is working day and night with the “Species” [Linnaeus refers to the second edition of his Species plantarum]: the work takes all his energy but it will be worth it.
P.S. Linnaeus asks about the drawings and papers of Mr. Schildt [Linnaeus refers to Johan Schildt].
